Los Angeles DUI Attorney Won't File Appeal for Lindsay Lohan

Los Angeles DUI defense lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley has officially resigned as the attorney representing Lindsay Lohan in her ongoing DUI case, but went out with a bang calling her client's 90 day jail sentence "harsh and unfair," according to New York Daily News.

It's not exactly clear why the Los Angeles DUI attorney has quit the case. Perhaps she's fed up with Lindsay Lohan's behavior and her client not following the terms of her probation or maybe Shawn Chapman Holley just doesn't feel that the actress can successfully appeal the sentence.

One thing is certain, and that's that Lindsay Lohan isn't ready to throw in the towel with this case. Rumors are circulating that actress has already hired a young Los Angeles DUI attorney named Tiffany Feder-Cohen to file an appeal for the sentence.

"She's a fighter, and until the final result -- we're not giving up," Dina Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's mother reportedly told celebrity news television show Entertainment Tonight.

What's probably frustrating to any DUI attorney is that Lindsay Lohan could have easily avoided jail if she had only done what Judge Marsha Revel had told her to do -- attend her court ordered alcohol education classes. It's true that most DUI offenders aren't sentenced to 90 days in jail and are able to get off with just probation, but most people convicted of driving under the influence are also able to make sacrifices and attend their court ordered alcohol education classes. They also don't usually have obscene language written on their fingernails in the courtroom.
